Hyderabad, India:  Silicon Andhra organized a Guiness World record breaking performance in India on occassion of 701 Anniversary of Saint Composer ANNAMACHARYA - Anand Kuchhibhotla and Dilip Kondiparti of Silicon Andhra, a non profit organization promoting Indian heritage, Art, Music Dance and Culture were the main organizers of the event in Secunderabad Parade grounds. The event was co sponosred by the Dept of Culture- Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Tirumala Tirupathi devasthanam.  CONGRATS  This breaks a record for Choir/ Chorus singing, whoch has stood since  1937- held by a Choir in Germany.
   The Hyderabad event was witnessed and certified by Raymond Marshal of the Guniess book of World Records, who presented organizers with the authentication. Stalwarts of the Classical Music industry and Singers from all walks of life participated to make this momentour occassion come to life by singing 7 kirtans in unison.
   One of the more ambiyious projects of Silicon Andhra, the 601 Annamacharya Kirtana was also celebrated across the World, also at the behest of Silicon Andhra and connected via Webcasts
   In Silicon Valley, SF Bay area- where Silcon Andhra organization is from, hundreds of children took part in the 601 st Annamacharya Day by performing kirtansa and performing classical dances to his compositions.
